I am Drew, I use the pronouns he/him and wanted to thank you for visiting my website.

When I got married, we had a celebrant led ceremony in front of our friends and family in Spain. I really enjoyed the freedom we were given to create our perfect day. Since then, I have trained and worked as a Celebrant.
The great thing about being a Celebrant is saying YES a lot. Most of the time, the answer to questions of inclusion, location, remembrance and many more specifics is YES.
Prior to becoming a Celebrant, I have had some amazing adventures that include being in the H.M. Armed Forces, running a business in New York, Playing and Coaching International Sport, Teaching and Lecturing. All of these have given me some great experiences that help me today as a Celebrant.
In the UK, I am based and normally work in the East Anglian counties of Suffolk, Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge, but also travel to London and further afield if requested. I also spend a lot of time with my wife in Southern Spain’s Costa del Sol and available to be your celebrant there too.
I enjoy the experience of meeting you, learning about you and your story, then writing a script for your ceremony, milestone or celebration. No matter what you are celebrating, I will work with you to tailor-make the event for you and your guests to remember forever.
As a Celebrant, I always do my best to provide you with a memorable ceremony. I will meet you and anyone else who will be, or wants to be, involved in the creation of your ceremony, either in person or remotely. We will get to know each other, including personalities, beliefs, dreams and wishes, and together we will write a bespoke ceremony, which I will deliver on the day.

I am a real “people person” and enjoy finding out about the stories behind your celebration. I will then write the all-important personalised words and deliver the ceremony of your dreams on the day.
Of course, when arranging your ceremony, it is important to find the right person to work with. You need someone who can listen to you, understand your story, and then guide you through the process.

FAQs
What is the difference between a Celebrant and a Registrar?
Registrars are granted by law to officiate a Wedding via civil ceremony, meaning the ceremony is purely secular with no religious tones whatsoever. The Registrar is in charge of processing and approving the couple’s marriage licence, with the wedding ceremony acting as a formality after the legalities are taken care of.
Celebrants can support and guide couples in completing the necessary requirements for the marriage licence, but don’t have the authority to approve it. However, they can officiate a far more bespoke ceremony. To find out more, click here.
Is my Celebrant Wedding Ceremony legally binding?
No. You will need to arrange for a Civil Partnership Registration in the Registrar’s office with two adult witnesses to legally register your marriage. This is the administrational part of the process, so does not need to be treated as a formal ceremony.
Once you have selected your Celebrant, The answer is YES!
• We would like some prayers and hymns at our wedding ceremony – can a Celebrant do this? – YES
• Can we choose to have our ceremony in absolutely any location, such as our garden, a beach or a forest? -YES
• We have had a bereavement and would like to acknowledge a loved one during our ceremony. Is this possible? – YES
• Can we have children and pets as part of our wedding party? – YES
• We were married overseas. Can have a ceremony when we return to the UK? – YES
• Can we write our own vows? – YES
• Can we incorporate elements such as baby welcoming, sand blending, a loving cup or making commitments to our children? – YES
• Can we have a wedding ceremony certificate signing during our ceremony? – YES
Your celebrant will discuss your wishes with you and do whatever is possible to make it happen.

Wedding Celebration
Let’s celebrate your love for each other the way you always dreamed of. I will work with you to create a bespoke wedding ceremony or civil partnership celebration that truly reflects your story and how you want to tell it.
Using a celebrant offers you the freedom to add all kinds of extra content that will ultimately make up the ceremony you always wanted. There are very few limitations, you can add a theme, rememberances, music, readings, poems, even a symbolic ritual.
I will take onboard all information you provide me within our first meeting (online or in person) and then start to design the first draft of your ceremony. This draft will be sent back to you so you can add or subtract content, change the format or ask me to re-write. ITs so important to me that you get what you want, it is your day. My favourite part is where I get to introduce you to your guests as a newly married couple.
I think the most important thing to remember when you are working with a Celebrant is… Any time, any place, anywhere, your imagination IS your only limitation!
For a marriage to be recognised in law in England & Wales, a legally-binding ceremony, commonly known as a ‘registration of a marriage’, MUST take place, normally at a Register Office.
(The same applies to a civil partnership registration)
The service can be very short and basic, and does not have to involve the exchange of rings or vows if you don’t want it to.
Once completed, you then have the choice of where, how and when you want to exchange your vows and rings, and enjoy your celebrations.
** A registration of marriage currently costs £35 p.p. for your notices and £49 for the room hire (at a Register Office). Add the cost of your marriage certificate and you can legally be registered for less than £130!**
Your Wedding day is one of the most important days of your lives, whether you choose, small and intimate or a lavish affair, it has to truly reflect you as a couple.
Your ceremony will be bespoke – written and delivered by myself and will be full of love.
So what can we expect if we choose you?
I will meet with you online or in-person to get to know each other. During that initial chat I will ask about your story and what your vision is for your ceremony.
When you have said ‘Yes’ , I will send you a contract that will confirm all the details and secure your date having me as your celebrant. Shortly after, I will send you a questionnaire and a pack of ideas, ceremony strutcure ideas and some more facts that might help guide you through the initial process. The answers from the questionnaires (Yes, it would be great if both of you need to fill one out) will help me write your ceremony. I will then said you my initial ideas for you to edit.
I pride myself of ‘being available’ at any time during our time together to talk talk through anything you need in regards to the big day.
On the big day, I aim to be at your venue at least an hour before the ceremony. This is so I can sort out any last minute issues and calm nerves.
I will deliver your ceremony and might be persuaded to have a cheeky canape, although that is not mandatory. The cheeky part!

Master of Ceremonies
If you would like, I can also stay on after the ceremony where I would take on the role of your ‘Master of Cermonies’ to compere your day and help everything run smoothly assisting your Wedding Planner with timings and movement of your guests if needed… I’ll help the photographer round up the waifs and strays before the big group photo. Announce you in to your wedding breakfast. Introduce the speeches and orchestrate the big set pieces, including the cake cutting and the first dance announcement. I’ll stay and assist you up until your first dance, before I bow out and let your celebrations continue as you party on down…

Vow Renewal
Say “We Still Do…” and renew your vows in style & celebrate that milestone.
Be it an anniversary or just an excuse to have the wedding celebration you didn’t have the first time round; renewing your vows is a wonderful way to rededicate yourself to your spouse.
In a lot of ways, a vow renewal is very similar to the Wedding Ceremony, it just means you might have a lot more stories, shareable experiences and memories you would like to insert into the ceremony itself. I would have an initial meeting with you (online or in person) and discuss your initial requirements so I can start to build your ceremony.
I provide you with a questionnaire and will design your ceremony using the answers you have provided, before you get to add all of your edits.
On the big day I will make sure I am at your venue at least an hour before the ceremony. This is so I can sort out any last minute issues and calm nerves.
I deliver a fun filled ceremony and leave you with a keepsake copy of your script.

Commitment Ceremony
From 2019 the law allows ALL couples to register for a Civil Partnership if they want instead of formalising their relationship through marriage.
A Commitment Ceremony may be the ideal celebration for those couples who don’t want the convention of being labelled ‘a husband’ or ‘a wife’, but who want to celebrate their togetherness (with or without the Civil Partnership registration)…
A Commitment Ceremony may be the ideal celebration for those couples who identify as non binary or trans and want to celebrate their union, but the law won’t permit them to register a marriage using their chosen identity or pronouns…
If YOU are one of those couples who don’t want the legal baggage… or, you are not currently allowed in the eyes of the law, to be your true selves within the bonds of marriage … or, maybe you are just not in a position to make ‘that’ formal commitment…just yet…
Well…this could well be the perfect ceremony for you!
Commit yourselves to one another in a meaningful ceremony that has every bit of the gravitas of the formal covenant of a wedding ceremony. Sign a certificate and maybe your deed poll name change as a part of the ceremony.
You will then be introduced to the world using the name(s) of your choice.

Naming Ceremony
Welcome to the world
A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome a newborn, an adopted child or step-child into your family and your community.
“A child’s name once given will be spoken thousands of times through a lifetime”
This is ideal for parents who wish to celebrate a child’s arrival with a non secular ceremony. It is the perfect way to express hopes, wishes and dreams as we look to a future and all the possibilities that will unfold in that child’s lifetime.
Instead of Godparents… Guideparents or Guardians will take the time honoured position of promising to support and guide your child through to adulthood. Poems, reading and symbolic elements, some even involving water can all form part of this wonderful welcoming ceremony.
Grandparents still get to play their parts too, as they make their promises to their new grandchild.
